Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi
Transfer from Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi: Early in the morning our company representative will find you either in Kampala or at Entebbe Airport ready to pick you up. You’ll then embark on a journey to South Western Uganda. Along the way, you’ll stop over at the Equator in Kayabwe for a photography session. This is a popular place for this kind of activity. Here, you may also buy some roasted plantain or chicken depnding on what you like. After this, the next stop will be in Mbarara City where you’ll enjoy lunch. Following lunch, you’ll continue to the Kigezi hills. Arrival at Lake Bunyonyi will most definitely be in the evening. Here after, you’ll check into your lodge and enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Bunyonyi and the neighboruing islands. You’ll also take part in a boat cruise where you’ll watch the shores of Lake Bunyonyi along with various other flora and fauna.

Day 2: Full day excursion on Lake Bunyonyi
Full day excursion on Lake Bunyonyi: After breakfast, along with your designated tour guide, you’ll head out on a full day excursion along the stunning fresh water lake Bunyonyi free from Bilharzia and crocodiles. The first activity of the day will be a nature walk, where you’ll see so many birds ranging from Pied King fishers, African Harrier Hawk, Malachite King fishers, Egrets, Fly catchers, Eagles, Vultures and may more. As part of the trip, you may engage with the local communities most sepcifically the Batwa. After this, Zip lining will be the next activity after which we’ll proceed back to the lodge for lunch. Following lunch, you’ll take another boat cruise to explore some of the 29 islands in the area each with its own fascinating story. Thereafter, swimming is an optional activity you may engage in. Keep in mind that, because of the deep nature of the lake, this should only be done by experienced swimmers. As for those that are not interested in swimming, you’ll go back to the lodge and experience the marvelous views of Lake Bunyonyi from the comfort of your lodge. Dinner will be served thereafter.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala for departure
Transfer back to Kampala for departure: After your early morning breakfast, you’ll proceed to meet your tour guide and embark on a journey back to Kampala. Upon arrival in Kampala, you’ll take a tour of the city and explore the various monumental landmarks in Kampala. You’ll have lunch thereafter. Later on, hopefully in the evening, you’ll head to Entebbe Airport for departure. And that marks the end of the safari Trip.
