This 5 days and 4 nights Kampala(the capital city of Uganda) and Jinja Trip consists of an adventure within Kampala, specifically Entebbe city and Jinja. Activities include water rafting, visting the Sezibwa falls, visting the source of the Nile(the world’s longest river), Mabira forest Zip lining, Visiting Ngamba island for chimpanzee viewing and the Entebbe zoo ending in beach relaxation on Lake Victoria. For those that are short on time but still want to have a memorable experience in Uganda, whether you’re a solo traveller, family or newly married couple, this is for you.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and transfer to Kampala
Arrival in Entebbe and transfer to Kampala: After arriving at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our company representative who will brief you on the highlights of the trip and what to expect. After this you’ll set off for a one hour drive to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. On arriving in Kampala, you’ll have lunch depening on your arrival time after which you’ll explore the various monumental landmarks in Kampala such as the Uganda Museum, Religious sites, Market centers and so much more. In the evening you’ll return to your hotel where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2: Zip lining in Mabira and transfer to Jinja to visit the source of the Nile
Zip lining in Mabira forest reserve: After your breakfast, you’ll meet your assigned driver who to embark on your journey to Mbira forest, for your Zip lining adventure. Along the way, you’ll pass via Sezibwa falls where you’ll learn more about the culture of the Baganda people and their ancenstry after which you’ll return to the main road, buy roasted plantain(Gonja) and chicken after which we’ll return to the main road, the Kampala-Jinja highway and proceed to Mabira. In Mabira forest, you’ll engage in Zip lining as a major activity as well as other optional activities like the nature walk, Birding, Mngabey monkey tracking. While Zip lining, you’ll enjoy the marvellous views of the various flora and fauna dominant in the area.
Transfer to Jinja to visit the source of the Nile: After Zip lining in Mabira forest, you’ll return to the main highway and head to Jinja with an enroute lunch in Jinja depening on the time of arrival. After this, you’ll embark on a boat cruise to visit the exact spot marked by John Speke, as the source of the River Nile. During the cruise, you’ll get to see the various animals that inhabit the River Nile after which you’ll head back to Jinja to check into your lodge. Here you’ll spend the night. You may also opt for a tour of Jinja City after check in. Dinner will be served thereafter.

Day 3: Jinja Water rafting and setting off for Entebbe.
Jinja water rafting: After breakfast at your hotel/lodge, your designated driver will take you for “half a day” water rafting along the water falls. This is one of the top activities where tourists engage in rafting up to grade 5 water wave along the Nile river on Itanda falls. After rafting, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch, proceed to check out and proceed to Kampala specifically Entebbe. On arrival in Entebbe, you’ll spend the rest of the evening touring the city exploring the various landmarks. After this, you’ll check into your lodge after which dinner will be served.

Day 4: Chimpanzee viewing at Ngamba island and visiting the Entebbe Zoo
After your breakfast, your designated driver will transfer you to the shores of Lake Victoria. Here, a boat will transfer you to Ngamba Island. At Ngamba Island, you’ll take part in feeding the orphaned chimpanzees that were rescued from poachers and are being taken care of in the sanctuary. You’ll proceed to cruise back to the shores of Lake Victoria, have your lunch and embark on a guided nature walk in Entebbe zoo where you’ll encounter several bird and animal species that are being reserved for research purposes including primates, mammals, reptiles, birds, as well as stunning flora. You’ll return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 5: Beach relaxation and departures
Depending on the schedule of your forthcominh flight, you’ll enjoy a relaxed breakfast after which you’ll be transfered to the beach to enjoy the various activities such as swimming, beach ball and so much more. In the afternoon, you’ll relax at the shores of Lake Victoria enjoying the cool breath while watching lots of bird species, return to the lodge, freshen up, check out and be transferred to Entebbe Airport for a flight back home. This will mark the end of the trip.
