Itinerary Timeline
Arrival & City Tour
Day 1: Welcome to Kampala
Airport pick up. Briefing. City tour visiting Kasubi Tombs, Namugongo Shrine, Uganda Museum. Check-in at Cassia Lodge
To the Nile
Day 2: Kampala to Murchison Falls
Depart for Murchison Falls NP. Visit the top of the falls where the Nile forces through a 7m crevice.
Wildlife & Water
Day 3: Murchison Falls Game Drive & Cruise
Half-day game drive (elephants, giraffes, lions). Afternoon Nile boat cruise to the base of the falls.
Scenic Transfer
Day 4: Murchison to Fort Portal
8-hour scenic drive to Fort Portal passing villages and tea plantations. Overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale.
Semliki Discovery
Day 5: Semliki National Park
Day trip to Semliki. Nature walk in Ituri Forest. Visit Sempaya Hotsprings. Return to Kibale National Park.
Primate Walk
Day 6: Kibale Chimps & Bigodi
Chimp tracking in Kibale National Park / Forest and thereafter an afternoon nature walk in Bigodi Swamp.
To Queen Elizabeth
Day 7: Transfer & Boat Cruise
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Game drive en-route. Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
Savanna & Forest
Day 8: Game Drive & Maramagambo
Morning game drive (Ugandan Kobs, lions). Afternoon walk in Maramagambo Forest (Blue Lake, Bat Cave).
Heading South
Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi
Drive through Ishasha sector in search of tree climbing lions. Arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
The Gentle Giants
Day 10: Gorilla Tracking
Gorilla tracking experience (2-8 hours). Spend one hour with the Silverbacks. A challenging but rewarding day.
To the Deepest Lake
Day 11: Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi
Guided village walk in the morning. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, the 'Little Switzerland of Uganda'.
Lakeside Relaxation
Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi
Full day of relaxation at the Lakeside Cottages. Canoeing, swimming, bird watching, or visiting the Batwa people.
To Lake Mburo
Day 13: Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park and undertake a boat cruise on the lake to see famous hippos and birds.
Walking Safari
Day 14: Lake Mburo to Kampala
Morning guided nature walk and thereafter transfer back to Kampala with a stop at the Equator Monument in Kayabwe.
Farewell
Day 15: Departure
Transfer from Equator Monument in Kayabwe to Entebbe Airport via Kampala for your flight back home.
